Welcome to Island Ufaa Dharavandhoo
a place where every moment embodies “the joy of island life.” Our boutique guesthouse rests on the peaceful island of Dharavandhoo, in Baa Atoll — home to the world-famous Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve celebrated for its magnificent gatherings of manta rays and gentle whale sharks.
Island Ufaa Dharavandhoo was born from a shared dream between two brothers, Naaish and Naawish — to create a place where travelers could experience the true warmth and authenticity of Maldivian island life.
From humble beginnings
the brothers grew up by the ocean, shaped by the values of family, community, and connection. Over the years, each carved a path in hospitality, gaining more than a decade of experience in some of the Maldives’ finest resorts. Through these experiences, they discovered not only the art of service but also the deeper meaning of true hospitality — the small gestures that turn a stay into a lasting memory.
Guiding their journey is their elder sister, Najwa, a former diplomat with 22 years of international service. Her experience working across cultures and continents brings a thoughtful, global perspective to their family’s vision — helping craft a guest experience that feels both deeply local and universally welcoming.
Together, the siblings created Island Ufaa Dharavandhoo as more than just a guesthouse. It is a reflection of who they are — family, dreamers, and islanders — offering guests the same sense of ufaa that has always defined their lives.
